The short answer

The best Chili Piper alternative for a small sales team is the one that keeps round-robin booking and drops the enterprise contract. Chili Piper Routing & Scheduling lists at $15,000 a year with 15 seats included and annual billing only. ScheduleMeeting Team gives up to 15 people round-robin and collective meetings on Google Calendar for $99 a month.

What you give up is form routing: Chili Piper qualifies a lead from your web form, looks it up in Salesforce and books the owner instantly. ScheduleMeeting routes by availability, not by CRM record. If your team routes by territory or account owner in Salesforce, stay on Chili Piper. If you mostly need fair rotation, this costs a fraction.

Sales rep on a booked demo call with her manager beside her

A five-rep team does not need a fifteen-seat contract

Chili Piper is priced for revenue teams that route thousands of inbound leads through Salesforce every quarter. A small sales team that only needs the demo request to land on a free rep's calendar ends up paying for routing logic, reporting and seats it never touches.

What that team actually runs on is simpler: a form or a button on the website, one shared booking link, a rotation that keeps each rep's demo count fair, and a Google Meet link with a reminder. Price that part on its own and the annual commitment usually stops making sense.

What a small team keeps when it leaves Chili Piper

Most teams under 25 reps use a narrow slice of Chili Piper: a shared booking link, fair rotation, and a second host on some demos. That slice is what ScheduleMeeting is built around.

Round-robin demo booking

One link in your demo request confirmation, email sequences and website. Each meeting goes to the rep with the fewest upcoming meetings who is free at that time, so leads spread evenly without a routing sheet or an admin rebalancing by hand.

Collective meetings for AE plus SE

Technical demos and late-stage calls often need two people. A collective meeting type only offers times when the account executive and the solutions engineer are both free, then puts the meeting on both calendars.

Two-way Google Calendar sync

Existing events on each rep's Google Calendar block their slots. Confirmed bookings are written back to the assigned rep's calendar, with a Google Meet link when the meeting type uses one.

Buffers, notice and daily caps

Prep time before demos, a minimum notice so nobody gets a call in ten minutes, and a daily cap per rep so the rotation never stacks eight demos on the newest hire.

Company hours and holidays

Set the hours your sales floor covers and block company holidays once. A slot has to fit both the rep's own working hours and the company policy before a prospect can book it.

A price you can put on a card

No platform fee, no seat minimum, no metered credits and no annual contract to sign before you can test it. A 10 person team pays the same Team price as a 4 person team.

How to switch from Chili Piper in an afternoon

You can run both tools side by side for a week, then swap the links once the rotation looks right.

  1. Create the company account

Sign up with your work email, name the company and choose the Team plan, or Business if more than 15 people take meetings.

  2. Invite reps and connect calendars

Each rep accepts the invite, connects their own Google Calendar and confirms working hours and timezone. Nobody shares a login.

  3. Rebuild your demo meeting types

Create the discovery call and demo types, add the reps who share them, pick round-robin or collective, and set buffers, notice and daily caps.

  4. Swap the links

Replace the Chili Piper booking links in your form confirmation page, sequences and email signatures. Bookings start rotating on the next request.

Teams that switch, and why

The common thread is a team that pays for routing it never configured, or that was quoted the new contract minimum at renewal.

Seed and Series A sales teams

Three to eight reps taking inbound demos. The job is fair rotation and fast booking, not territory rules. A five figure contract is a hire you can't make.

SDR teams booking for AEs

SDRs share each AE pod's round-robin link on the call and the meeting lands with whichever AE is free. Collective types handle calls that need a manager.

Agencies and consultancies

New business calls rotate across partners or account leads. Company hours keep bookings inside the time the firm actually covers.

Customer success and onboarding

Kickoff and onboarding calls spread across the CS team with a daily cap per person, on the same account as sales, with no extra seats to buy.

How much does Chili Piper cost?

Chili Piper's public pricing page lists two plans. Routing & Scheduling is $15,000 a year ($1,250 a month billed annually) with 15 seats and 45,000 AI credits, plus $45 a month for each extra seat. Experiences is $42,000 a year with 30 seats, plus $50 per extra seat. ChiliCal on its own is $12 per user a month with a 200 seat minimum. Billing is annual only.

Before this change Chili Piper sold separate products per user with platform fees on top, which is why older reviews quote $15 to $30 per user. Those numbers no longer describe what a new small team is offered. We break the cost down by team size in Chili Piper pricing for small sales teams.

Is Chili Piper worth it for a small team?

Chili Piper is worth it when routing, not scheduling, is the problem: many inbound forms, territory or account-owner rules in Salesforce, and handoffs between SDRs and AEs that someone would otherwise do by hand. At that level the contract pays for itself in faster speed to lead.

For a team of 3 to 10 reps with one demo form and a simple rotation, the math rarely works. $15,000 a year is more than 15 people cost on ScheduleMeeting Team for over 20 years at the yearly price. That gap funds a lot of pipeline.

Does Chili Piper have a free plan?

No. Chili Piper has no free plan and no self-serve trial; buying starts with a demo call with its sales team. ScheduleMeeting also has no free plan, but you can create an account, build a meeting type and take real bookings in a one-time demo before you pay, then pick a plan from the billing screen without talking to anyone.

Can you use Chili Piper without Salesforce?

Yes, Chili Piper offers HubSpot and other CRM integrations, but its routing, distribution and handoff features are built around Salesforce objects, and that is where most of the plan's value sits. A team without Salesforce is often paying for the part it can use least.

If your CRM is HubSpot, Pipedrive or a spreadsheet and you route by availability, a scheduling tool with round-robin covers the same daily workflow. If your inbound flow also needs leads and tickets assigned by rules outside the calendar, keep that in a routing tool and let the scheduler handle the meeting.

What is the difference between Chili Piper and Calendly?

Chili Piper is an inbound routing platform that happens to book meetings: it qualifies form leads, routes them by CRM data and books the right owner. Calendly is a scheduling tool with routing forms added on its Teams plan, priced per seat. For small teams, Calendly Teams is usually the first cheaper option people compare.

ScheduleMeeting sits closer to Calendly but charges per company instead of per seat. Our Calendly for Teams alternative page runs the same seat math against Calendly's list price.

Where each product wins

Chili Piper is a strong product for a Salesforce-run revenue team. The honest question is whether you use the routing you would be paying for.

Choose ScheduleMeeting if

  • Your team is under 25 people and routes demos by who is free, not by territory or account owner.
  • Your reps work on Google Calendar and you want round-robin on Google Calendar without a platform fee.
  • You want monthly billing and a price you can approve without a procurement cycle.
  • Company-wide hours and holidays should apply to every booking page at once.

Stay on Chili Piper if

  • You qualify and route leads from web forms using Salesforce data before booking. (If routing forms matter but $15,000 a year does not fit, OnceHub Route does them per seat; see the OnceHub alternative comparison.)
  • Your calendars are in Microsoft 365 or Outlook.
  • You need SDR-to-AE handoff logged in the CRM, or chat and instant calls from forms.
  • You have more than 100 people taking meetings, or ABM account identification is part of the deal.

If a feature you rely on is not in this list, read the team scheduling use cases for sales and recruiting or compare plans on the pricing page before you buy.

Chili Piper alternative questions

What is the cheapest alternative to Chili Piper?

For round-robin demo booking on Google Calendar, ScheduleMeeting Team costs $99 a month for up to 15 people, or $594 a year billed yearly. Chili Piper's entry plan is $15,000 a year. The trade-off is that ScheduleMeeting does not route leads from web forms or Salesforce.

Who are Chili Piper's competitors?

The usual shortlist is Calendly Teams, RevenueHero, Default, LeanData, Cal.com, SavvyCal and HubSpot's meeting scheduler. Routing platforms such as LeanData and Default compete on form and CRM routing; Calendly, Cal.com and ScheduleMeeting compete on team scheduling at a lower price.

Does Chili Piper charge per user?

Not on its current main plans. Routing & Scheduling is a $15,000 yearly package with 15 seats included, and extra seats cost $45 a month each. ChiliCal alone is priced per user at $12 a month, but only with a 200 seat minimum.

Does Chili Piper have monthly billing?

No. Chili Piper's pricing page lists annual billing only, with discounts for two to four year terms. ScheduleMeeting bills monthly or yearly, and yearly is half the monthly rate.

Can ScheduleMeeting book a meeting with two reps at once?

Yes. A collective meeting type only offers times when every required host is free, then adds the meeting to each host's Google Calendar. It is available on the Team and Business plans.

Does ScheduleMeeting integrate with Salesforce or HubSpot?

No. ScheduleMeeting integrates with Google Calendar and Google Meet. It does not sync bookings to a CRM or route by CRM fields, so teams that depend on Salesforce routing should keep Chili Piper or a dedicated routing tool.

Round-robin demo booking without the $15,000 contract
